Location

St Ethelwold's House has comfortable and attractive bed and breakfast accommodation in a street described in Pevsner's Architectural Guide as one of the most interesting streets in England. Although in Abingdon town centre, the street is quiet with ready access to riverside walks, trips, restaurants, shops and a frequent express bus service to Oxford. The atmosphere is informal and friendly and guests can enjoy the garden which goes down to the river.

Bedrooms

The house has a range of single, double, twin rooms and a family room for hire. They all have character and charm. Although none have en-suite facilities, there are plenty of bathrooms. Several have access to cooking facilities and there is also a self-contained flat with all facilities.

Breakfast

Ingredients are organic where possible and include home-made muesli, bread and marmalade, fresh fruit and yoghurt. A light cooked breakfast is also available, such as scrambled eggs with ham/herbs and mushrooms. Unfortunately no fry-ups are available.

Conditions

Children are welcome. No smoking allowed anywhere in the house. No dogs except guide dogs.
